MCMS Wrestling squad placed 3rd overall in our conference. Starfish members Bryan and Trevor placed 4th overall, and Wood brought home the gold. Way to go guys! We are super proud of your athletic accomplishment.

Our guys have two victories, and our gals fought hard. If you haven’t caught the excitement in person, you need to get there! Our pep band rocks at a whole new level!

Soccer RIVAL War

Morehead Middle boy’s soccer team suffered a hard loss in the championship game against Newport on Monday afternoon. Both teams played hard, but Newport prevailed in an upsetting two to one loss.

The game started at a fast pace and both teams left the field at the half scoreless. In the second half, Calvin Moore pulled the trigger on a shot outside of the eighteen to put Morehead up one to nothing. A little while later, Newport answered back with a goal to tie it up. With six minutes left in the game, Newport put another shot in the back of the net. Although they were down a goal, Morehead held on and played their hardest to the whistle. The second half was very intense with each team earning a yellow card.

On Wednesday, Morehead plays Broad Creek at home to decide second place. Reporter: T-Rebel

Pirates Prepare

After an awesome start, a few dips, and strong conference finish, ECU Pirates prepare for the Conference USA championship game against a tough opponent, Tulsa. If we win, we are Liberty Bowl bound. Speaking of Bowl bound, the Wolfpack got their second wind when they defeated us and are now Bowl eligible. They have some young strong offensive talent, so I think we can plan on seeing red and hearing howls in ACC football to come.

MCMS Soccer Warriors

Oops they did it again….. The Minutemen Soccer team execute once again, you can’t touch this.  Their undefeated season is certainly noteworthy.  I am very proud of our Starfish Soccer team members: Wacky Wood, T-Rebel, Graymeister, M&M, it seems like there is another one….

Our lady warrior princesses continue to be undefeated in the soccer realm!  Way to fight!

Our Mighty Minutemen stomped the BCMS Bulldogs with a stunning 12-0!  What a way to demonstrate your strength in your first conference game and leading up to your first home game.  Keep it up men!

PIRATES get TOUGH!!!!!

Pirates get tough and release your super stuff against a very tough opponent, Houston.  The Pirate Nation will join together at Dowdy Fickland to cheer on the PIRATES.  They have recooperated from the devastating lost against J-rod’s PACK.  Pirate fans “Man the deck!”

Starfish Spotlight on Remi!!!!!!!!

Our very own Remi cheered with the UNC Cheerleaders at the game on this past Saturday against Virginia Tech.  She is also an All American Cheerleader, and she will be cheering at Walt Disney coming soon.  When I get pictures, I will post them.  We can celebrate with her.  Way to cheer Remi!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

MCMS Football

Our Minutemen fought hard against Tucker Creek.  Our very own, Michael V tackled an opponent with amazing force.   Our men practice hard to prepare for the Bulldogs of BCMS on the 24th of this month at Broadcreek.  Let’s go Minutemen.  Make plans to support our Mighty Minutemen.
